1A member of a grouping of four North American Indian peoples of the central British Columbia coast, Canada, having a common culture and language and now consolidated at the mouth of the Bella Coola River.
The grouping originally comprised the Bella Coola proper (of Bella Coola Valley), the Talio (of South Bentinck Arm), the Kimsquit (of Dean Channel), and the Kwatna (of Kwatna Inlet).
