(A name given to) a legislative act concerned with the administration of justice; specifically each of a series of statutes establishing the Supreme Court of Judicature in England and Wales, and regulating its practice (usually in plural).
The Judicature Acts include most notably Act 36 & 37 Vict. c. 66 (1873) and Act 38 & 39 Vict. c. 77 (1875); a number of amending acts followed in subsequent years.
