Definition of Bose–Einstein condensation in English:

Bose–Einstein condensation

  • (In a system of bosons) the existence of a large proportion of the particles in the quantum state of lowest energy when the temperature is below a certain very low value; abbreviated BEC.

Such a state manifests quantum phenomena at the macroscopic scale, as in superfluidity and superconductivity.
