Definition of eelpout in English:



  • A small broad-headed fish of cool or cold seas, having an elongated body and the dorsal and anal fins continuous with the tail.

    Family Zoarcidae: numerous genera and species, including the northern European viviparous blenny (Zoarces viviparus)
